Cobalt Blue Peacock Ginger Jar in Annapolis Royal, Nova Scotia

Cobalt blue ginger jar featuring two beautiful handpainted peacocks in a floral setting - approximately 6" tall - possibly Kutani? - looks like the jar in the first photo in color, shape, and size but with the peacock pattern shown on the large plate in the second photo. The image is only on the front of the jar, the back is plain. The lid has a flower handpainted on the top. The jar is marked with Japanese characters on the bottom (see third photo).
